Sri MGR Year 93, 11th September, Saturday
Nearly 1200 MGR Fans attended the Platinum Jubilee function. MGR Fans Association from all over Tamil Nadu, Pondichery, Karnataka, Malaysia and Singapore made their presence in Chennai on 29th August 2010 in Kamarajar Arangam.
The Chief Guests were Veteran Actor S.S.Rajendran, Producer K.Rajan, Music Director (Sankar) Ganesh, Director Saroj Kumar, Antony, Vietnam Veedu Sundaram, Actress Indira Devi, Lakshmi (Child actress from the movie Thirudathae) Sundaram Editor, Sankarrao (Stills), Ramakrishnan (Photographer).

Music Director Sankar Ganesh gave heart touching anecdote about our beloved Leader Makkal Thilagam MGR. He narrated that in the movie Ithayaveenai he and Sankar was composing the tune for a duet song and MGR was with them. From morning they were composing the tune but MGR was saying next and next after each tune.
The Music Director nearly composed 100 tunes for the song and then MGR said stop this is enough, and asked them to use the first line from 12th tune, 2nd line from 22nd tune and so on till the last line. They did not know what type is the 12th tune but MGR told them which is in tune 12 and so on, Sankar Ganesh was awestruck by the Memory Power of Puratchi Thalaivar MGR. The song he was talking about was “Ponanthi Malai Pozhuthu” Sankar Ganesh performed the song on the stage with great applause.

Producer K.Rajan made a brief speech about the presence of MGR in today’s Politics and he showed a Photo of MGR in three different religious look. He said MGR is the only person in the World to be worshipped by the people of all religion.
